Vivi got an apron and a chef's toque for Christmas this year, so that she can easily be identified as Head Chef (in contrast to the Sous-Chef, who also got an apron for Christmas). Here we are, standing over the divine Beef Rib Roast we served on New Year's Day, cooked according to the dictates of Alton Brown (from a cookbook I'm Just Here for the Food, which was another Christmas gift, from Midwest Brother). We refer to this feast as the Cordon Brown meal, in fact.

Vivi Raises the Stakes: a Toque
Vivi got an apron and a chef's toque for Christmas this year, so that she can easily be identified as Head Chef (in contrast to the Sous-Chef, who also got an apron for Christmas). Here we are, standing over the divine Beef Rib Roast we served on New Year's Day, cooked according to the dictates of Alton Brown (from a cookbook I'm Just Here for the Food, which was another Christmas gift, from Midwest Brother).
